PE Women Arrested For Murder Of Claus Schroeder

In January 2000 Claus Schroeder, an expert in the design and manufacturing of custom-made motorhomes, and his family moved to the coastal town of Jeffreys Bay in the Eastern Cape.

The 50-year-old, who started a factory, was highly respected in Germany for building some of the finest and most technologically advanced motorhomes on the European market.

His son Tobias was selected to represent Germany in an international surfing competition earlier this year.

In August 2009 he went missing and police began an investigation which took them to Germany, Switzerland and South Africa.

On Tuesday they finally arrested Christina Adler in Thornhill on charges of fraud and murder but her husband Jens Leumberg remains on the run.

Adler appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court in connection with Schroeder’s disappearance on Wednesday.

National Prosecuting Authority Port Elizabeth spokesman Tsepo Ndwalaza said on Thursday that she was being charged with fraud and murder.

The NPA say that despite Schroeder’s body not having been been found the pair would be formally charged.

Adler’s matter has been remanded to July 28 for a formal bail application.

It is fitted with a fold down TV/DVD player and free Sat receiver and Satellite dish.  It also has roof bars and a rear ladder for luggage etc if required,  Thretford 12v toilet, shower, fridge/freezer (12v 240 and gas), over/grill, 2 ring burner, large on board water tank, sun and fly blinds.  There is an abundance of cupboard space under the seating and overhead.   I am also including the microwave, toaster, kettle and a small generator (so no need for hook up).
