&Nbsp;On 4th April 2012 the London TV region including the Epping Forest District will begin the switchover to Digital TV.

This time the benefits will be different but we will all get more channels, some in HD and in some areas better reception of Freeview. Digital TV switchover is the biggest change in television since the introduction of colour. Analogue signals will be switched off and replaced with new digital services. Switching off the analogue network will also allow the power of digital signals to be boosted, improving reception for many viewers already watching Freeview, Top Up TV and BT Vision.
What do you need to do? If you currently only receive the 5 standard channels via an aerial on any of your sets, you will need to think about converting these to digital. No-one needs to throw away their old set - even a black and white one can be converted with a digital box. Viewers in the London TV region already watching Freeview, Top Up TV or BT Vision will need to retune at switchover in order to continue receiving all available channels. Cable and satellite services are not affected by switchover.
