Local cast member raves about upcoming production of 'Mamma Mia'
Cast member James Michael Lambert, who plays Eddie, shares some insider tips on what makes this show so special.“First of all the audience gets the incredible Abba music,” Lambert said, “then there’s the dancing in the aisles, and of course my performance of the fun and free-spirited ready-to-have-a-good-time character of Eddie.”
Lambert is excited to come to South Florida where he has an extended family of uncles (including a former Miami Dolphin), aunts, and cousins. He calls Los Angeles home and is a UCLA graduate. He has worked with director Garry Marshall and was last seen nationally in the musical adaptation of Happy Days If he’s from LA, he’s not really “a local”, is he? Eileen Faxas, who’s a swing on the tour, is from Miami. She got raves in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE at The Stage Door. Christopher Hudson Myers has done shows at Actors’ Playhouse, including a star turn in ALTARBOYZ. And their production stage manager is BJ Forman, who has worked all over South Florida. But the guy who’s really from LA has a bigger part, right? So let’s call him “the local boy” even though he’s really not by any stretch of journalistic integrity. I have a cousin in Arizona I’ve never met. I guess that makes me a Phoenix native, huh?
